Top Gun Gives Back
Hundreds of families in New Jersey and
thousands nationwide are confronted each
year with the terrible news that their child has
cancer, sickle cell disease or some other blood disorder. Embrace Kids Foundation offers unique programs and services that deliver a comprehensive and compassionate method of delivering care to families when they need it most – when their child has a catastrophic illness.
The Top Gun organization believes in teaching ours players the importance of giving back to its community for those whom are not as fortunate to play this great game of softball.
This past fall marketed our 7th year of hosting our charity tournament for the Embrace Kids Foundation, formally known as the Institute for Children (Cancer Institute of New Jersey). The entire Top Gun organization would like to thank everyone involved in this effort. For those of you who don’t know about this tournament each fall, teams from New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia show their support by attending this tournament where all monies raised from entry fees, concession stand and donations go directly to the foundation. The money raised is used to help support Embrace Kid’s Winter Wonderland Holiday Party. In addition, Top Gun helps Embrace Kids with supplying food for their Thanksgiving luncheon. Without everyone’s kind support the donations could not be possible.
Over the past 7 years, Top Gun has donated over $70 thousand to this great cause. If you would like more information on the Embrace Kids please go to www.embracekids.org or if your team would like to attend next year’s tournament please contact Tony Houck or Larry Yard.
